Career & Technical Education (CTE) Pathways
Pathways are rigorous programs of study to assure strong academic and technical preparation. Pathways create relevance of learning, connecting high school coursework to work beyond high school, post secondary options, including on-the-job training, certification programs, and two- and four-year college degrees.
Part of a sequence of credentials that can be accumulated over time to build up an individual’s qualifications and help them to move along a career pathway or up a career ladder to different and potentially higher-paying jobs. (Source: TEGL 15-10, www.doleta.gov)
